The NVAR Government Affairs program develops policy to guide the association in the legislative and regulatory arenas. We advocate for those policy positions to protect the industry from harmful legislation that would erode private property rights, increase the costs of real estate transactions or place excessive regulations on home owners and buyers, among others.

The success of these efforts relies on individual Realtor® participation. Our Government Affairs efforts are at their strongest when Realtors® are informed, engaged and ready to act. We offer many ways for you to learn about the issues, meet with your elected officials, and participate in setting NVAR’s lobbying priorities.
