The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® (NVAR) is excited to honor our ten-year long Ambassador Association Partnership with the Asociación Peruana de Agentes Inmobiliarios (ASPAI) — a Peruvian real estate association.
NVAR commemorated this anniversary with a special breakfast and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing at this year’s NAR NXT conference in Boston. Also present was La Cámara Nacional Inmobiliaria de Bolivia (CNIB), with whom we were able to sign a MOU at NAR’s Realtor® Legislative Meetings (RLM) earlier this year.

The Role of Global Ambassadors:
NAR appoints experienced Realtors® as "Global Ambassadors" to act as liaisons with these international partner associations. Ideally, these ambassadors hold the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation and possess cultural and linguistic knowledge of their assigned country.
NVAR and ASPAI: A Strong Partnership:
The partnership between NVAR and ASPAI is a prime example of international collaboration in action. This connection is particularly relevant because a significant Peruvian population resides in Fairfax County, Virginia. NVAR serves as the NAR Ambassador Association for Peru, with 2014 NVAR President Mario Rubio, a native Peruvian, leading the way.
A Look Back and a Look Forward:
The partnership between NVAR and ASPAI began in 2014. Since then, ASPAI has grown significantly as a respected voice for Peruvian real estate with a robust Multiple Listing Service (MLS). NVAR looks forward to continuing this collaboration and strengthening the ties between the Northern Virginia and Peruvian real estate communities.
