Hello and Happy New Year! I am Christine Richardson, your 2019 President of the Board. During my installation remarks in December, I posed an important question: Can we become engaged? I’d love to share some of the plans we propose that will help us work – and live – happily ever after in 2019 and beyond!

Last year, the Board of Directors, along with CEO Ryan Conrad and senior staff members, developed a three-year Strategic Plan for NVAR called Vision 2020. Our mission statement is to elevate Realtor® success by delivering exceptional value, driving innovation and impacting the industry. To advance this mission in 2019, we need to continue to deliver the best products and services to help our members succeed.

And, most importantly, we need to engage more members – including you!

My goal for 2019 is to ramp up member engagement and to continue to strengthen the professionalism in our industry. (Speaking of professionalism, check out NAR’s new online tool, C2EX, at C2EX.realtor to take a professionalism self-assessment and generate customized resources to enhance your knowledge and skillset – see page 4 to learn more.)

This year, NVAR will continue to introduce innovative programs, services and classes that will help you empower your future. We are reframing NVAR’s products and services to align with your work. We want everything we offer to match up with what you need to serve your clients and run your business.

We plan to introduce several new committees and forums that will be fun and impactful, so we can accommodate even more volunteer leaders.

We will be hosting some creative and exciting RPAC fundraisers. The annual baseball game in June is a great way to have an enjoyable evening with your friends and colleagues while also helping your industry. It’s a home run! Expect more events that will create energy and impact around RPAC.

And we will be introducing some amazing new leading-edge technologies that will help you and your business. We will teach you in what will become our new Digital Member Experience Center at NVAR. Stay tuned for more information about this exciting hands-on initiative.

There are so many terrific opportunities planned for 2019. I hope you will come, bring your colleagues – and their colleagues! I guarantee that these experiences will be worth it and you’ll also have fun.
