Meet the Speakers

Sue & Craig Richey

Sue & Craig Richey started Richey Property Management in 2006, and they have been licensed Realtors for over 23 years.  They are also real estate investors and own rental properties in the area.  Their company aims to provide personalized service and communication to clients while using cutting-edge technology and systems to manage the entire process consistently and effectively.  Currently, their company manages over 700 properties throughout Northern Virginia.

Patty Young

Patty Young is an accomplished and licensed Real Estate Broker in Virginia with extensive experience in the industry. As an Instructor License holder with the Virginia Board of Real Estate, she has a passion for educating and training Realtors as well as her clients to make informed decisions in the real estate market.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Patty is deeply committed to giving back to her community. She serves as a volunteer on the Fairfax Fair Housing Task Force and in various local organizations. Her dedication to her community extends to her work with the Northern Virginia Associations of Realtors, where she serves as an Instructor and on Committees.

Patty is driven to elevate the Real Estate industry through training and education. She stays up to date with the latest policies and legislation, attending meetings and conferences to be involved in the decision-making process. Her commitment to her clients has earned her top honors with Gold and Platinum Top Producer Awards.

As a Military Relocation Professional and American Warrior Professional, Patty has over three decades of experience specializing in real estate, strategy-based consulting, and implementing best-practice operational methods. She is passionate about helping people grow their businesses, gardens, relationships, and wealth through real estate.

In her free time, Patty enjoys being a farmer, playing in the dirt outside, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is dedicated to providing exceptional service to her clients and making a positive impact in her community

Jerry Friedlander 

A partner in the law firm of Friedlander, Friedlander & Earman PC, Jerome’s law practice of more than 44 years focuses on wills, trusts, estate planning, real estate law, entity formation and disputes, as well as the litigation arising from those areas. He is a member of the VA and D.C. bars and a past president of the McLean Bar Association and the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Jerome has been a substitute judge in the General District courts since 1985. He is the author of law books in landlord-tenant law, real estate law (Broker’s Guide to Virginia’s Real Estate Law), and limited liability companies and has also written articles and conducted seminars. He has been an NVAR instructor for about 20 years. Jerome received his B.S. from Georgetown University and his LLB from the University of Virginia.

Joey Sale

The manager of MLS Policy at Bright MLS, where she oversees the Accuracy and Policy Team. They ensure an open, clear and competitive housing market for all. By focusing on education and facilitating accurate data and usage of the system with MLS Rules, State License Laws, and Data Licensing Policies being followed.

Joey holds a Master's Degree in the Study of Law from the University of Colorado Law School. Formerly she served as the Director of Local Association Services at Florida Realtors® and held various roles at REcolorado, a regional MLS in Denver.
