Transfer to NVAR

Copy of TRANSFER TO NVAR (2)

We are delighted to hear that you are interested in transferring your membership to NVAR! It is simple and easy, and as long as you are, "in good standing" with your current association, you may not need to pay all fees all over again. Below you will find the steps in transferring your membership to NVAR from another Realtor® association.

Step 1:

Request a Letter of Good Standing from your current Realtor® association. A Letter of Good Standing verifies that you are an active Realtor® with another association other than NVAR, and that you comply with all of the associations’ rules and bylaws for conducting business within that association. Once you obtain this Letter of Good Standing, it can then be uploaded and submitted with your NVAR Application.

Step 2:

NVAR's fiscal year runs from October 1 to September 30 each year. The Membership Pro-Rated Calendar can be found here. The fees for the month that you decide to transfer will coincide with the fee listed in the chart. If you are a member of a Virginia Association, you may have already paid your NAR and VAR dues upon joining your current Realtor® association. The Letter of Good Standing will relay that information to us. Upon transferring to NVAR, please complete the Online Application. It is important to input your current NRDS number on the application!”

Step 3:

If you would like to Activate a SentriLock account with NVAR, please complete the application below:

Sentrilock Registration Form

Applications take approximately 72-business hours to process. After your application has been processed, you will receive a welcome email and a password to access your Member Dashboard. You will also be asked to sign up for our New Member Orientation. Any new members joining NVAR are generally asked to register for this course.” Click here for more information.
