Committees serve an important function at NVAR. Members who are selected to serve on NVAR committees meet regularly to address issues that affect our industry, and are charged with making recommendations to the Board of Directors. Meeting attendance is important, so please do not request assignment to a committee if you are not able to attend scheduled meetings.
NVAR Forums, open to all members (unless otherwise noted), offer members the ability to meet with other professionals to discuss issues that affect our industry. Enhance your association membership with unique programming, expanded networking opportunities and the chance to learn from experienced colleagues.
For even more in-depth training on being a volunteer leader at NVAR, you can apply to join the NVAR Leadership Institute. The role of NVAR Leadership Institute is to prepare interested members for a current or future volunteer leadership role within the Realtor® association environment. NVAR offers these members an opportunity to participate in this year-long program, which provides participants with the skills and knowledge they will need to become effective leaders for the association. The specific objective of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® Leadership Institute is to familiarize future NVAR leaders with all aspects of the Realtor® family, including the Virginia Association of Realtors®, the National Association of Realtors® and MRIS.
