This course provides an overview of the law as it relates to property disputes and disruptive behavior between adjoining property owners.  The basic elements of trespass, nuisance, adverse possession and easements are explained.  This course also covers encroachment disputes involving trees and tree roots.

This course will benefit the real estate salesperson and broker professionally because it explains in layperson’s terms how property disputes arise and the legal remedies available to an injured owner.  Issue spotting is illustrated with summaries of Virginia court decisions dealing with noise, trees and property boundaries.  This course also informs the real estate salesperson and broker of the types of issues that arise out of various types of easements.
