Next Up! Future NVAR Leaders Graduate from Leadership Institute

leadership institute
AFTER A YEAR-LONG PROGRAM learning the ins and outs of volunteer leadership, 11 new Leadership Institute graduates are ready to serve as NVAR leaders.

Throughout the year, students attended training sessions and events, including the Legislative Bus Trip, NAR Mid-Year Meetings and the NVAR Annual Convention and Trade Show.  At the start of the year, they were also assigned a group project to create an “NVAR Ambassador” program. The projects were judged on overall quality of the ambassador program; alignment with the NVAR Strategic Plan; and creativity of their final presentations.

On Dec. 14, the groups presented their projects “shark-tank” style to NVAR CEO Ryan Conrad, 2018 NVAR President Lorraine Arora and 2019 President Christine Richardson. Although only one group could be chosen as the winner, all three groups succeeded in developing creative ambassador programs that could be implemented in the future to enhance member involvement.

As the 2018 graduates begin serving in various association roles, the next class will soon begin their leadership journey!
