NVAR Donates Funds to Advance the United Community Ministries Mission
Contribution to Help Provide Supportive Housing Services, Outreach
Fairfax, VA – The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® is proud to announce its recent $10,000 donation to the United Community Ministries in Alexandria, Virginia. For the past decade, NVAR has requested a UCM donation as the “ticket to admission” to the NVAR Annual Convention and Trade Show. The most recent one took place on Oct. 11 at NOVA Annandale. Realtor® and NVAR Affiliate attendees are urged to donate a bag of groceries or make a monetary contribution.
“The fact is that many of our neighbors rely on the community assistance programs that UCM provides,” said NVAR CEO Christine M. Todd. “NVAR believes in the UCM mission to help needy families during these tough economic times. We are proud to contribute to the UCM organization and applaud their outstanding outreach effort providing essential community services for their clients.”
UCM is an important resource to the Northern Virginia Community. NVAR takes pride in contributing to this organization, which provides resources and help to those who are on the road to self-sufficiency and improved situations.
