Business Community: Creating a Positive Environment for Real Estate

Choosing the right community is important when selecting a building site. You’ve chosen to build your business in a region abundant with real estate professionals, which is important, as you will soon discover. Once you get your first clients, they will be relying on you for advice on whom to consider for dozens of other services: title and mortgage companies; house cleaning; moving companies; home inspections; appraisers; environmental testing; pest control; and more. Where do you begin to engage all of these contacts?

NVAR has more than 200 affiliate members who are here to help you. Affiliate companies work with Realtors® to help buyers and sellers through their real estate transactions. Affiliates can answer your questions and serve your clients. In short, they will help you build your business.

You can find a list of affiliate members in the Update magazine, or search our online affiliate database by company or service at www.nvar.com.

Whether you are learning a new profession or just a new market area, the Realtor® network at NVAR can help you achieve your goals. NVAR members include more than 500 agents who have been in the business for more than 25 years and thousands who have qualified for the Multi Million Dollar Sales Club. Lawyers, customer service professionals, and even elected officials have joined NVAR’s Realtor®-member family. The resources of NVAR’s membership are enormous, and the association offers many opportunities for you to tap into this vast wealth of knowledge.

Many networking opportunities are available for every level of Realtor®, from rookies to 35-year veterans. Each year, Realtors® flock to NVAR’s one-day convention and trade show to learn from the experts, swap stories with their peers, and explore industry-specific technologies and services. Many of NVAR’s affiliate members participate in this event.

NVAR’s annual Economic Summit also offers agents an opportunity to network while learning about the latest trends and data from experts discussing the Northern Virginia housing and economic markets.
