Of special note, NVAR member Trudy Harsh (r., with NVAR CEO Christine Todd) was recognized by NVAR for receiving the 2013 Good Neighbor Award from the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), for her founding of and ongoing work with The Brain Foundation.

In addition to her $10,000 award and $2000 Lowes gift card from NAR, Trudy received an additional $1000 each from both NVAR and Metropolitan Regional Information Systems, Inc. (MRIS), the local multiple listing service (MLS) serving Northern Virginia.

Sue Mandel (l. with NVAR 2012 Chairman of the Board Pat Kline), NVAR Director of Human Resources, was tapped for NVAR Hall of Fame honors during Thursday’s ceremonies.

The 2012 NVAR Affiliate of the Year recipient was Helen Krause, Marketing Director of New World Title & Escrow (l. with NVAR 2012 Chairman of the Board Pat Kline). This award recognizes Helen’s major contributions of time and talent to various NVAR programs and events in 2013.

Honorary Life Membership was granted to NVAR past president (1987) Pam McCoach of Long & Foster in Annandale (l. with NVAR 2012 Chairman of the Board Pat Kline).

NVAR member and NVAR 1988 past president Ed Padgett (l. with NVAR 2012 Chairman of the Board Pat Kline) was recognized for achieving Realtor® Emeritus status, with over 40 years of service as a Realtor®.
