A local broker in Manassas/Gainesville has informed NVAR there may be a individual posing as an agent trying to get into homes. He is using the first name of name Francis, with an apparent fictitious and unusual last name that is not registered with NAR or DPOR. He sets an appointment with the listing agent to see a property, and then asks how to gain access once he arrives at the house.

Agents are cautioned to check the credentials of individuals who pose as agents!
