Open to all NVAR members, Business Forums are open groups that provide education and networking opportunities focused on specific segments of the real estate industry.

BUSINESS TO BUSINESS FORUM
Offers relevant discussions on business issues facing brokers, agents and managers every day. Topics to include financial strategies for managing your business, advantages of franchising, valuing your company or book of business, office space options, leasing vs. purchasing equipment, human resource rules and regulations, tax concerns, networking opportunities and more.
ATTORNEY ROUNDTABLE (Attorneys who hold active membership with the Virginia State Bar)
Provides Virginia settlement, real estate litigation and in-house/brokerage attorneys with an opportunity to discuss matters that are developing in the real estate community. Participants also provide feedback to the association on proposed changes to NVAR forms.
Provides real estate professionals with an opportunity to learn and understand the guidelines that govern them, and to help inform the association of issues or concerns that are arising in the marketplace.
SMALL BROKER FORUM (Independent brokers with fewer than 15 agents)
Offers educational and networking opportunities geared towards small business owners. Lunch & Learn sessions offer an informal setting that allows for an open exchange of ideas on topics relevant to these members.
NORTHERN VIRGINIA YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK
Dedicated to our members who are under 40, the Northern Virginia YPN offers a mix of professional and social programs. From wine tastings to marketing programs on a budget, there is a little something for every young Realtor® to enjoy!
Features information sessions for Realtors® involved in commercial transactions. Guest speakers present the latest trends, economic forecasts and other issues relevant to commercial real estate.
PUBLIC POLICY FORUMS
An outgrowth of the NVAR Public Policy Committee, these forums on topics of interest in the region or in your neighborhood are scheduled several times throughout the year. From real estate sign regulations to the latest redevelopment proposals, Public Policy Forums will keep you informed.
CULTURAL FORUMS (All members are welcome!)
These Forums, open to all members, offer cutting-edge programming and professional networking opportunities. All sessions are conducted in English. Current groups include Hispanic, Korean and Vietnamese Realtor® Forums.
REAL ESTATE FINANCE & SETTLEMENTS FORUM
Monitors current financial and regional market trends. Disseminates relevant finance information to the general membership through NVAR publications, educational seminars and social media. Activities include annual Economic Summit, quarterly member events and nine monthly meetings.
GLOBAL BUSINESS FORUM
Guides real estate professionals in expanding their personal and professional presence in the global marketplace. Creates new business opportunities by helping members to market local properties worldwide, assisting investors who are interested in purchasing real property in the U.S. and offering international options to local clients.
