To contact NVAR online, please use the contact form below. Your request will be routed to the appropriate department at NVAR.

Responses from our staff are processed during business hours, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Many of the most common questions can be answered for you immediately, if you refer to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) shown below, after the contact form. The FAQs include information about password change requests, log-in information, new member inquiries, dues & billing questions, Instanet, Sentrilock, and more.

NEW Legal Hotline: For any questions from our members regarding real estate forms, ethics/arbitration (including questions about specific matters or filing a claim) and other general legal questions, please use our new Legal Hotline system (for members only!). Your inquiry and any subsequent discussions will be confidentially logged and tracked by our legal department during the resolution process.

Members of the public or Realtors® who are not members of NVAR may request information for filing ethics complaints or arbitration claims by emailing our Professional Services Department.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I Change My Member Password?

NVAR is pleased to announce that members may now edit their own password AND their membership profile information online. Please log in to: http://go.nvar.com/membersonly and select "Edit Membership Info"!

Expired Membership

If your NVAR membership has expired as of Nov 1, 2011, you MUST contact NVAR during business hours for reinstatement and for subsequent renewal of SentriLock service. You cannot renew expired memberships online, and you cannot re-activate SetnriLock service remotely.

I Cannot Login or I Have Forgotten My Password (Active Members Only!)

On our website, just underneath the fields to login, you will see a link that says “Forgot Login or Password.” If you click on the appropriate link, you will receive an automated email with your Login and/or Password. Members with expired memberships CANNOT log in. Please see the above note under "Expired Memberships".

License Lookup and Continuing Education Hours

Before you can successfully renew your license you must check with DPOR (Virginia Dept. of Professional and Occupational Regulation) to make sure you have taken enough continuing education classes to qualify. One place to start is by looking up your license on their website here:
http://www.dpor.virginia.gov/regulantlookup/selection_input.cfm?CFID=3252389&CFTOKEN=17181709

Look up your license by Name, and make sure to check the “Real Estate Individuals” section before clicking on Search Licenses.

Once you look-up your name, you will see a link that says “View Continuing Education Hours” which provides you with a complete report of all the hours the DPOR has for your license. This page also provides an explanation of the breakdown of classes you are required to take to renew your license.

After verifying which classes you need to take, please visit NVAR’s Realtor® School – www.RealtorSchool.com website to register!

New Member Application

Upon completion, you may either: (A) bring it into one of our two locations (Fairfax or Herndon); or (B) fax it into the number listed on the application; or (C) you can mail in the application. Please note – the second page of the application requires your Brokers’ signature. Your application cannot be processed without their signature.
