Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® Members Tapped by Governor
to Serve on Two Prestigious State Boards That Protect Consumer Rights
The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® is pleased to announce the appointment by Governor Bob McDonnell of two of its members, Anh Tu Do and Pat Kline, to Virginia regulatory boards.
A Realtor® with Westgate Realty Group in Falls Church, Do was appointed to a four-year term on the Virginia Real Estate Board that began on July 1. NVAR Chairman-Elect Pat Kline, an Associate Broker with Avery Hess Realtors® in Springfield, will serve the remainder of a vacated seat on the Board for Professional and Occupational Regulation, through June 30, 2012.
The Virginia Real Estate Board, where NVAR member Anh Tu Do will serve, regulates businesses and individuals representing others in real property transactions to ensure ethical and fair treatment. The Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation, where NVAR member Pat Kline will serve, protects the overall welfare of residents, while promoting a competent workforce, enforcing fair housing practices, and supporting a favorable economy.
“Having two of our members selected to serving on these prestigious boards is a double honor,” said Karen Trainor, 2011 NVAR Chairman of the Board. “We, at NVAR, are thrilled that our members Anh Tu Do and Pat Kline have been chosen to serve Virginia consumers to ensure that they receive ethical and appropriate services from real estate and other professionals statewide,” said Trainor.
Specializing in both residential and commercial real estate, Do entered the real estate profession in 2003. She participates in NVAR’s Vietnamese Forum Advisory Board and is also involved with the Asian Real Estate Association of American, DC Metro Chapter.
An NVAR member since 1989, Kline has served on its board since 2007 and is now the Chair-Elect. She has earned sales awards distinctions and National Association of Realtors® professional designations. A Virginia Association of Realtors®-trained mediator, Kline is a 2009 VAR Leadership Academy graduate.
